1. Publisher and purpose
The website frenchscore.com (French Score) is published by EMNETY, « SASU au capital de 1 000 € » (simplified joint-stock company with a sole shareholder), RCS Paris 911 226 454, 32 rue La Boétie, 75008 Paris. Full contact details are in the legal notice. Contact: contact@frenchscore.com.
These terms govern the use of the website and the subscription. By using the website or subscribing, you accept them.
2. The service
French Score offers preparation for French tests (TCF Canada, TCF Québec, TCF IRN): practice sets, tools, learning content and automatic correction of written work. Independent preparation, not affiliated with France Éducation international, the organization that designs and issues the TCF. The scores shown are estimates for practice, not official results.
Part of the service is free, without an account (lessons, tools, the first questions of the practice sets). Automatic correction of written and spoken work is reserved for subscribers, including during the free trial. Before the trial, a logged-in account sees a preview of the feedback on a written text (number of mistakes found), without the details.
3. Account
The account is created with an email address (login link) or a Google account, and also, in the iPhone app, with « Se connecter avec Apple » (Sign in with Apple). You are responsible for access to your mailbox and to your Google or Apple account. The benefits of the subscription are attached to the account's email address.
4. Offers and prices
- Weekly subscription: €7.99 including VAT per week.
- Monthly subscription: €19.99 including VAT per month.
- 3-month subscription: €44.99 including VAT every 3 months.
The subscription gives access to unlimited writing corrections, within a limit of 50 corrections per day to prevent abuse, as well as to the correction of speaking, within a limit of 20 corrections per day. Each offer has no commitment and renews automatically at the end of each period (one week, one month or 3 months depending on the offer), for the same duration, until it is cancelled. The prices displayed at the time of subscription apply; any price change is announced to you by email before the period concerned, and you can cancel before it applies.
5. Free trial
Each offer starts with a free trial of 14 days, which gives access to the whole service, within the same limits as the subscription. A payment card is requested at the start of the trial. No amount is charged during the trial. An email confirms the start of the trial and the date of the first charge.
The first charge is made at the end of the trial, at the price of the chosen offer, unless you cancel before. You can cancel in one click from the My account page, with the « Gérer mon abonnement » (manage my subscription) button: if you cancel during the trial, no amount is charged.
6. Payment
Payment is processed by Stripe, which acts as reseller of the service (merchant of record) and calculates the VAT applicable according to your country. The amount is charged at the end of the free trial, then at the start of each new period. A receipt is sent to you by email for each payment. If a payment fails, access to the benefits of the subscription may be suspended until the situation is resolved.
7. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from the My account page, with the « Gérer mon abonnement » (manage my subscription) button. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, already paid: you keep access until that date and no new charge is made. During the free trial, cancellation takes effect at the end of the trial and no amount is charged.
8. Right of withdrawal
You have 14 days from subscription to withdraw, without having to give a reason, by writing to contact@frenchscore.com. If you have started using the service during this period, the refund is reduced by the amount corresponding to the service provided up to your request. The refund is made within 14 days of your request, by the same means of payment.
During the free trial, no amount is charged: you only need to cancel before the end of the trial to pay nothing.
9. Use of the website
You agree to use the website for your personal preparation: no automated extraction of content, no resale, no circumvention of usage limits. The content of the website (practice sets, explanations, texts) is protected and may not be reproduced without permission. We may suspend an account in case of abusive use, after notifying you by email except in an emergency.
10. Liability
The scores and levels shown are estimates to help you practise and do not predict the result of an official exam. French Score is a private service, independent of the administrations and of the certifying bodies. We do our best to keep the website available and accurate, without being able to guarantee continuous availability.
11. Personal data
The processing of your data is described in our privacy policy.
12. Complaints, mediation and governing law
For any complaint, write to contact@frenchscore.com: we reply within 7 business days. If the disagreement persists, you may use a consumer mediator free of charge; the mediator's contact details are provided on request. These terms are governed by French law.
13. Subscription taken in the app
The subscription can also be taken in the French Score mobile app, on iPhone (App Store) or on Android (Google Play). The plans and prices are the same as on the website: monthly subscription at €19.99 including VAT per month, weekly subscription at €7.99 including VAT per week. The exact price in your currency is displayed by Apple or Google before purchase.
Payment is collected by Apple or by Google, under their own terms, and charged to the Apple or Google account used for the purchase. The subscription renews automatically each period, for the same duration and at the same price, unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancellation is done from the settings of your Apple or Google account: it takes effect at the end of the period already paid. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
Refund requests for a subscription taken in the app are handled by Apple or by Google, according to their rules.
A subscription taken in the app also gives access to the benefits of the subscription on the website, with the same account, and a subscription taken on the website is recognized in the app. To delete your account, follow the steps described in the help page.
