What you get
Every reading and listening set goes from A1 to C2, in the same order of difficulty as the real test, and every answer is explained. The documents and questions stay in French, as on test day; the explanations help you understand each answer.
- Reading and listening: a full set has 39 questions, as in the TCF Canada. In TCF Québec mode you answer 29, and 25 in TCF IRN mode, within the time limit of the test you choose.
- Writing: the 3 tasks in the TCF Canada format, with a model answer within the word limits, and feedback on your own text.
- Speaking: the 3 tasks, with a timer, a recording of your voice and a model answer.

How to practise effectively
- Do a reading or listening set under real conditions, with the timer on.
- Read the explanations for your mistakes, then redo them from your mistake notebook a few days later.
- Write one writing task within the word limits and get feedback on it.
- Answer a speaking task out loud while recording yourself, then compare with the model answer.
Frequently asked questions
Is the practice free?+−
Partly, with no account: the first 5 questions of every set, all writing and speaking prompts, the speaking simulator and one example with corrections per task. Full sets, model answers and AI feedback come with the subscription, with a 14-day free trial.
Which TCF are these sets for?+−
The TCF Canada, the TCF Québec and the TCF IRN. At the start of each reading or listening set, choose your test: we keep the right number of questions and the right time limit.
Is my progress saved?+−
Yes. Scores, history and your mistake notebook are saved on your device and shown in My account. If you log in, they are also saved to your account, so you can find them on another device or in the app.
How is the score of a set estimated?+−
Each correct answer earns points based on the level of the question, as in the real test, where harder questions count for more. The score then converts to a CEFR level and, for the TCF Canada, to an NCLC level. It is an estimated score for practice, not an official result.
Which section should I start with?+−
A reading or listening set: it gives you a first level in an hour at most and fills your mistake notebook. Then move on to the writing and speaking prompts, where model answers show what is expected.
Are these real exam questions?+−
No. Every document, question and prompt is original, written by our team in the official format. The "real questions" shared online are candidates' memories, often inaccurate, and sharing them is not allowed.
